Unbelievably good quality. I typically wear an A2 (5’11-190lbs) sized up to an A3 reading reviews and fits great. Embroidery is very clean, soft backing used to not irritate, the sublimated panels are a nice touch for comfort and feel nice and cool on body.
Very impressed overall by the quality and ship time. The freebie hanger just sweetens the pot. Thank you for selling a product with great value for the price.

Great gi high quality and great fit

Great Gi. Was fit's Great and feels comfortable and lightweight. Would be great if delivering to outside of the US if we could and idea of customs tax to be paid or pay it upfront when ordering. Other than that it was great and came super quick

Chapter 12

Great gi. I’m 5’6” 164lb and the A2 is a perfect fit. It’s my 3rd Nine Lives gi and I love them all.

Looks good and made very well. Very nice hand written note came with package!

Gi fits almost perfect

The only reason I’m putting 4 stars is only because the pants are ever so slightly short for me on the inseam. I wear an A2 and the jacket fit perfectly, it was only the pants that were just a little snug. Waist was perfect just the length.

Great gi but a little undersized

Love the gi, definitely runs on the small side though. I'm 210 6'1" and the A3 is very tight. Otherwise I love it.

The best Gi I own

I have been on the hunt for a competition Gi, looking for the perfect fit. After trying a handful of popular brands, thought I’d give Nine Lives a try. I liked the branding, unique but subtle. It is now my favorite Gi i own, the best thing is the lightness! Highly recommend and love that it is a small business. Will definitely be purchasing more in every color.

This gi is great! Fits right, feels great and is very well made. It doesn't have the unique interior design elements of the other Nine Lives gis I've purchased but that was point, wasn't it? A great gi for everyday use, available at a lower price yet still crafted with the highest standards. I couldn't be happier with this buy!

Absolute supreme gi in fabric quality and looks! Very impressed with the feel of the fabric. The color way is definitely eye catching & great conversation starter on the mats. I think this gi/company is competing with the best of the best. The price is very nice as well considering you can’t get a gi this elite under 150$ Shipped & delivered a day early. Fantastic looking gi. Quality construction. Some issues with sizing.

An eye catching gi that looks much better in the flesh. There was a line of squashed pearl weave that stood out on the chest, like something had been scraped across it? I don't expect it will impact the performance, but it was an annoying aesthetic imperfection. Rolling, it feels light and comfortable. The customer experience was A1 and postage to Aus was prompt.

Another review suggested the pants were long. I have many gi's from numerous companies and A2L is always a perfect fit after a quick tumble dry. These pants were VERY long. They'd be a generous length for a person of the maximum recommended height of 6'3. With my 6' frame they were dragging on the floor. I couldn't shorten them much in the dryer, though the crotch seemed tighter after. I also tumble cycled the Jacket as the arms were slightly long, but now the left lapel doesn't completely covers the right lapel when I wear it.

The pants, I had to keep hiking up to avoid tripping over myself. I was left with no option but to have them tailored. I needed to take nearly 2.5 inches off the length. I understand sizing a tricky thing to accommodate. You can't please everyone, but these are MUCH longer than A2L pants I have purchased in numerous other established brands. That's important to take into consideration if you are at the lower end of the size range. Overall I do like the gi. It's just disappointing to be out of pocket for alterations to the pants. Also the minor imperfection mentioned and the lapel width.

Best lightweight gi

I own 30+ gis from different brands and I have to say, this one is already in my top 3.

I am 5’10 and weight 170 pounds and A2 fits me very good. I’ll keep wearing it all summer and I’ll be getting another one for sure.

Overall nice gi

I just trained in the classic for the first time tonight, it's light weight and comfortable enough. My only complaint so far is the length of the jacket. It is a little short, but overall seems like a solid gi.

Comfort is King

I purchased this Gi (A2 @ 5'8/170, athletic build) off a random ad and took a chance on it. After rolling in it for roughly 3 months, I couldn't recommend it more. I live in the deep South and our gym gets VERY HOT and this Gi is perfect. It feels incredibly soft and becomes more comfortable the more I wear it. I do roll relatively hard (more theatrically at times than skilled lol) and there have been zero issues with quality or comfort, no matter what position I have been in. The Gi is very light and the interior is very soft to the touch, unlike some brands I have worn over the years. I will be coming back to 9 Lives for another the next time I need a Gi. Take a chance on this company, it is well worth it. Great job 9 Lives, and I am happy to support your business.

Amazing Gi

I got this gi for my husband to celebrate his black belt and it instantly became his new favorite. Looks great, amazing fit, and the material is so comfortable, I was almost okay with that cross face. If anything, my only complaint is to myself in not buying one for me too. Whether or not you are obsessed with cats (and we are), I highly recommend this gi!
