I have been on the hunt for a competition Gi, looking for the perfect fit. After trying a handful of popular brands, thought I’d give Nine Lives a try. I liked the branding, unique but subtle. It is now my favorite Gi i own, the best thing is the lightness! Highly recommend and love that it is a small business. Will definitely be purchasing more in every color.

This gi is great! Fits right, feels great and is very well made. It doesn't have the unique interior design elements of the other Nine Lives gis I've purchased but that was point, wasn't it? A great gi for everyday use, available at a lower price yet still crafted with the highest standards. I couldn't be happier with this buy!

Love everything about my new Gi! I’m 6’1” and the A3 fits true to size. Minimal shrinkage and the design is sharp! I get tons of compliments on the look and feel of this GI! Many more to be bought in my future!

Absolute supreme gi in fabric quality and looks! Very impressed with the feel of the fabric. The color way is definitely eye catching & great conversation starter on the mats. An eye catching gi that looks much better in the flesh. There was a line of squashed pearl weave that stood out on the chest, like something had been scraped across it? I don't expect it will impact the performance, but it was an annoying aesthetic imperfection. Rolling, it feels light and comfortable. The customer experience was A1 and postage to Aus was prompt.

Another review suggested the pants were long. I have many gi's from numerous companies and A2L is always a perfect fit after a quick tumble dry. These pants were VERY long. They'd be a generous length for a person of the maximum recommended height of 6'3. With my 6' frame they were dragging on the floor. I couldn't shorten them much in the dryer, though the crotch seemed tighter after. I also tumble cycled the Jacket as the arms were slightly long, but now the left lapel doesn't completely covers the right lapel when I wear it.

The pants, I had to keep hiking up to avoid tripping over myself. I was left with no option but to have them tailored. I needed to take nearly 2.5 inches off the length. I understand sizing a tricky thing to accommodate. You can't please everyone, but these are MUCH longer than A2L pants I have purchased in numerous other established brands. That's important to take into consideration if you are at the lower end of the size range. Overall I do like the gi. It's just disappointing to be out of pocket for alterations to the pants. Also the minor imperfection mentioned and the lapel width.

Each purchase from 9L has left me happy and ready to roll! This gi is no exception: Supremely comfortable for drills and warm-ups while tough and sturdy for every roll. Plus the colorway catches the eye!

I am 5’10 and weight 170 pounds and A2 fits me very good. I’ll keep wearing it all summer and I’ll be getting another one for sure.

I just trained in the classic for the first time tonight, it's light weight and comfortable enough. My only complaint so far is the length of the jacket. It is a little short, but overall seems like a solid gi.

I got this gi for my husband to celebrate his black belt and it instantly became his new favorite. Looks great, amazing fit, and the material is so comfortable, I was almost okay with that cross face. If anything, my only complaint is to myself in not buying one for me too. Whether or not you are obsessed with cats (and we are), I highly recommend this gi!

I really love these gis. I originally started getting them because I liked the "lucky cat" logo. Now I get them because I love the logo and they fit so well. They are light weight. I purchase a new one before every major competition.
