Duffle bag features a koi fish which is a Japanese symbol love and friendship. Even though cats and fish do not typically mix well, our Maneki-neko logo is often known as the money cat, welcoming cat or lucky cat holds similar symbolism from its Japanese roots. Nine Lives is built on the fact that everyone needs a little money, friendship, luck and good fortune in their life, so with that spirit in mind, we feel these two go hand in hand...or paw in fin.

Why Nine Lives?

Look Good, Feel Good, Roll Good

Our aspirations are to build a world wide family who already share a common interest in Jiu Jitsu and further refine that to a crew of folks who align with our passions. Nine Lives was established on an affinity for looking good in the streets as well as on the mats. Look good, feel good, roll good. Nine Lives is not reinventing the wheel with our Jiu Jitsu uniforms, but rather focusing on the principles of classic, clean design with a playful vibe.

Testimonials

Phil Knight (NIKE) said “A brand is something that has a clear-cut identity among consumers, which a company creates by sending out a clear, consistent message over a period of years until it achieves a critical mass of marketing.” NineLives is something that embodies this and is a brand I have grown to love over the years! This has been my favorite Gi brand since starting my Jiu-Jitsu journey! I recommend this brand for anyone looking for a reliable company who stands by their product!!

I think were all pretty used to the thin rash guard and spat material that"s great until a hole is worn into it. This isn't that, its got enough thickness to hold and not lose a grip over but also breathable. I'm thinking along the lines of Carhart like durability.
