Classic - Army Green and Gold - Jiu Jitsu Gi

Regular price $ 119.00

To this point our story has all been in Chapters, this gi will stand alone from the rest. The classic is going to be a staple that we will re-stock and do our best to  have on hand in as many sizes as possible. This gi is made with the same fit and construction as our Chapter gis but with no sublimation liner and very minimal decoration. For this reason we are also keeping the price point on the lower side. This color is not IBJJF legal.

Absolute supreme gi in fabric quality and looks! Very impressed with the feel of the fabric. The color way is definitely eye catching & great conversation starter on the mats. I think this gi/company is competing with the best of the best. The price is very nice as well considering you can’t get a gi this elite under 150$ Shipped & delivered a day early. Thanks 9 lives!!!!!

Fantastic looking gi. Quality construction. Some issues with sizing.

An eye catching gi that looks much better in the flesh. There was a line of squashed pearl weave that stood out on the chest, like something had been scraped across it? I don't expect it will impact the performance, but it was an annoying aesthetic imperfection. Rolling, it feels light and comfortable. The customer experience was A1 and postage to Aus was prompt.

Another review suggested the pants were long. I have many gi's from numerous companies and A2L is always a perfect fit after a quick tumble dry. These pants were VERY long. They'd be a generous length for a person of the maximum recommended height of 6'3. With my 6' frame they were dragging on the floor. I couldn't shorten them much in the dryer, though the crotch seemed tighter after. I also tumble cycled the Jacket as the arms were slightly long, but now the left lapel doesn't completely covers the right lapel when I wear it.

The pants, I had to keep hiking up to avoid tripping over myself. I was left with no option but to have them tailored. I needed to take nearly 2.5 inches off the length. I understand sizing a tricky thing to accommodate. You can't please everyone, but these are MUCH longer than A2L pants I have purchased in numerous other established brands. That's important to take into consideration if you are at the lower end of the size range. Overall I do like the gi. It's just disappointing to be out of pocket for alterations to the pants. Also the minor imperfection mentioned and the lapel width.

James, please send us an email to follow up I would like to take care of your alteration costs.

    Another classic for the rotation!

Each purchase from 9L has left me happy and ready to roll! This gi is no exception: Supremely comfortable for drills and warm-ups while tough and sturdy for every roll. Plus the colorway catches the eye!

    Thanks Craig!

    Why Nine Lives?

Look Good, Feel Good, Roll Good

Our aspirations are to build a world wide family who already share a common interest in Jiu Jitsu and further refine that to a crew of folks who align with our passions. Nine Lives was established on an affinity for looking good in the streets as well as on the mats. Look good, feel good, roll good. Nine Lives is not reinventing the wheel with our Jiu Jitsu uniforms, but rather focusing on the principles of classic, clean design with a playful vibe.

Phil Knight (NIKE) said “A brand is something that has a clear-cut identity among consumers, which a company creates by sending out a clear, consistent message over a period of years until it achieves a critical mass of marketing.” NineLives is something that embodies this and is a brand I have grown to love over the years! This has been my favorite Gi brand since starting my Jiu-Jitsu journey! I recommend this brand for anyone looking for a reliable company who stands by their product!!

I think were all pretty used to the thin rash guard and spat material that"s great until a hole is worn into it. This isn't that, its got enough thickness to hold and not lose a grip over but also breathable. I'm thinking along the lines of Carhart like durability.
